I’m Sarah Kakouras, a recent graduate of Queens University of Charlotte with a degree in Business Administration. During my time at Queens, I completed two social media internships and many marketing courses that sparked my deep interest in the social media field.

I am very passionate about creating visually aesthetic content, growing brands, and being able to engage with others through those efforts.

Apart from social media, I enjoy traveling, reading, and hanging out with my friends, family, and dog!

I first found my passion for content creation my freshman year of high school. Being of Greek descent, I wanted to create an instagram account that showcased everything about the Greek culture and connected people from across the globe. The account ran from 2016 to 2020 and featured photography, videos, graphics, and more. The account reached its peak at 17,000 followers. Being able to connect with that many people, and even work with small Greek-owned businesses, is where my passion for social media really stemmed from.

This account is where I first learned the importance of utilizing analytics, which is something I still use today. My target market was broad; the account had Greek followers from around the world, mainly the U.S., Greece, and Australia. With that, I found age demographics and “most active times” to be two of the biggest analytics used to help grow the account. Those analytics and the use of geo tags, hashtags, and trending content are ways that I’ve helped increase post views and profile views during my internships.
